Paul Apologizes For Tank Davis’s “Boring” Responses

Jake Paul stirred up Gervonta Davis during Tuesday’s press conference in Miami, Florida, when he told him that he’s “boring.”

Jake Paul Loses Patience

Paul had been trying to get Gervonta to liven up and entertain the audience by asking him what he was going to do when they fought on November 14 in their exhibition match on Netflix.

All the tactics that Jake had been trying to force Davis to come up with some meaningful words weren’t working. So, he told him point-blank that he was “boring,” and he apologized to the audience.

That woke Davis up as he told Paul that he would “kick his a**.” Jake was just being real with him because he’s been the equivalent of a potted plant, a vegetable during their two press conferences. It’s left Jake to do all the promoting for their fight, and he’s not able to do that single-handedly.

There will be a massive audience, perhaps more than the 41.4 million who watched the expensive Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford match. A lot of money was poured into the promotion to bring in that many viewers. Paul vs. Tank Davis has an excellent chance of surpassing that number without the huge amount of cash being funneled into it.

Needing a WWE Element

What they need is Tank Davis to relax and bring a WWE element to the press conferences and his interviews. That would require a character creation to develop a persona. It requires preparation ahead of time to become another person.

Jake has got that part down already, but Tank is dead weight thus far. Tank needs to take acting classes to develop a gimmick that he can use to help promote this fight and his future fights.

Gervonta Davis: “I want to put on a great show on November 14th and show him what I’m about,” said Tank during Tuesday’s press conference in Miami, Florida.

Jake Paul: “What do you think is going to happen in the fight?”

Gervonta: “We’ll see.”

Jake: “Yeah, you’re boring as f***. My whole family was texting me. I want to apologize to the audience for this guy.

Gervonta: “I’ll kick your a** for real. You just play around just regular.”

Jake: “That’s what we want, entertainment.”
