Boxing Results: A Wolf’s Feast: Itauma’s Ferocious Attack Ends Whyte’s Career With A Shocking KO

Heavyweight Moses Itauma (13-0, 11 KOs) looked like a wolf feasting on its prey, Dillian Whyte (31-4, 21 KOs), chopping him up in bite-sized pieces in a first-round knockout in their headliner on DAZN PPV at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Whatever chance Whyte, 37, had of winning, he threw it out the window by choosing not to throw punches in the first minute or round one. Itauma took advantage of Dillian’s timidity by attacking him with power shots, staggering him with a left hand straight down the pipe.

Whyte covered up along the ropes in a last stand type posture, allowing the wolf-like Itauma to pound on him like he was a piece of meat. Interestingly, the 37-year-old Whyte didn’t provide any resistance to his own defense by throwing something back. He let Itauma nail him with unanswered shots

A perfectly placed right hook from Itauma dropped Whyte all fours on the canvas. The badly hurt old warrior got up at the count of six, but couldn’t stand on his feet without needing the support of the ropes to hold him up. The referee took one look at Dillian’s condition and wisely waived it off.

The groggy-looking Whyte then protested to the referee, but there was no way on Earth that the fight was going to be allowed to continue with him in that condition. You could only imagine what Itauma would have done to Whyte if the fight had gone on. It was bad enough that Whyte hadn’t thrown any punches before going down. Itauma would have poleaxed Whyte and put him to sleep.
